The Kung Fu School in Whakatane is a martial arts school based at Whakatane War Memorial Hall on Short Street. It runs instructor-led Kung Fu classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings for children aged 7 to 11, teens aged 12 to 17, and adults aged 17 and over. Training includes self defence, kicking, throwing, submissions, Shaolin animal styles, Qi Gong and traditional Chinese weapons, and a free first class is available.
