Auckland Sword and Shield is a Takapuna HEMA club teaching Historical European Martial Arts from historical sources dating from the 12th to 19th centuries. Its training covers weapons and styles including longsword, rapier, sidesword, sabre, spear, quarterstaff, dagger and wrestling, with a 9 week beginners course for people aged 18 and over, followed by study groups and intermediate classes.
